Enhance debarkation day with a scenic driving tour of both Galveston and Houston that terminates at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Designed for guests departing on flights after 3:00 PM, the journey allows you to enjoy popular sights and provides stops for several photo opportunities. Your comfortable transportation departs from the port of Galveston. The first stop is the Strand National Historic Landmark District, the heart of Galveston in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Today, lovely Victorian era architecture houses a shopper's paradise. Take a stroll and discover over 100 quaint specialty stores, art galleries, restaurants and cafes as well as wonderful historical exhibits. Continue your drive down Seawall Drive and focus your camera lens on the sparkling sand beaches and picturesque views of the Gulf of Mexico. Ahead, you will see the Galveston Causeway Bridge, which you will take, passing Galveston Bay and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway en route to exciting Houston. The fourth-largest city in the United States, Houston offers a myriad of photo opportunities, including a stop at NASA's Johnson Space Center's Rocket Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through the downtown core, where you will catch a glimpse of the theater district and Reliant Stadium, home of the Houston Texans football team. Continue through the museum district, the cultural center of Houston, past the world-famous Texas Medical Center, site of the largest concentration of medical facilities in the world. A stop at Hermann Park, home of the Houston Zoo, is another opportunity to fill your camera with memories before re-boarding your transportation and driving through the exclusive enclave of River Oaks, considered to be one of the wealthiest communities in the United States.
