WHAT YOU VISIT
- Green Grotto Caves
Travel to Discovery Bay and discover a subterranean fantasyland. Estimated to be over five million years old, the Green Grotto Caves is the first historic cave worldwide to receive the Green Globe 21 certification. Take a ¾ mile guided stroll through a maze of exquisite drip stone formations and learn about the sensitive eco-system found within and around the caves. The first room you'll enter is the big "Music Hall" where your guide will "play" the hollow rocks that sound like bongo drums when hit. A crystal clear lagoon, filled with crayfish, small fish and eels, can also be found in one of the caves.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Many of the limestone creations have been christened after the individuals they resemble, with names like Abraham Lincoln, Freddie Krueger and the cartoon character, Scooby Doo among others.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Sit back and relax as your driver takes a route through the lush hillsides and along Jamaica's northern coast to Discovery Bay.

Special Notes:

Wear comfortable light clothing and rubber soled shoes. Pants are encouraged as there are mosquitoes in the Caves sometimes, Minimum age to participate is 3 years old and must be at least 3 feet high. The maximum weight allowed is 280 pounds. Persons with Asthma, Heart Disease or Claustrophobia are advised not to participate. Once participants join their tour, they will be required to complete a liability waiver.
