What you will visit:

Good Hope Estate
Originally the home of Colonel Thomas Williams, grandson of one of the island's first settlers, The Good Hope Estate offers panoramic views of the Queen of Spain Valley, the Martha Brae River, and the thickly forested Cockpit Mountains. Boasting over 2,000 acres of lush vegetation and fruit groves, this genteel 18th-century estate and former sugar plantation is one of Jamaica's prized landmarks. The grounds house a large swimming pool, kids splash area, waterslide and relaxing hammocks as well as an aviary, home to colorful, tropical birds. The Eco-Adventure Pass includes an adrenaline-infused jungle canopy zipline course and a tubing ride down the meandering river. You can also taste various aged rums during the Appleton Estate Rum Tasting Experience.

What you will see along the way:
Traveling south from Falmouth, you'll notice the terrain change from bustling town to the lush greenery of the Cockpit Mountains as you approach the estate.

Photo Opportunity:
Every angle of this beautiful 18th-century Georgian mansion is picture-perfect. Wander around the grounds and revel in the unparalleled views that have remained untouched since Col. Thomas Williams built Good Hope for his wife, Elizabeth, in 1755.

Rum Tasting and Lunch:
During the day, you'll participate in an aged-rum tasting from the iconic Appleton Estate collection, which is the second-oldest rum producer in the world, dating back to 1749, and learn the differences between white rums, spiced rums, and dark rums. When hunger strikes, tuck into an authentic Jamaican Jerk lunch. Sample menu includes: rice and peas, jerk chicken, steam/raw vegetables served with fruit punch at the Sugar House restaurant.

Shopping:
Souvenirs as well as rum, coffee and Jamaican favorites can be found in the well-stocked gift shop located in a former sugar cane factory.
