What you will visit:
Just outside of Ensenada, the scenic landscape changes, and lush vineyards come into view. The Guadalupe Valley, an iconic wine-producing region, is sheltered between mountains, allowing the grapes to thrive in the valleys drenched by sunshine and infused with sea breezes. All warm-climate grape varieties are grown here, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Zinfandel, Nebbiolo, Syrah, Tempranillo, Malbec, Carignan, and Grenache, among red grapes, and Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Viognier among the white. Tastings are a popular way to sample the local fruit of the vine.
What you will see along the way:
An all-terrain vehicle takes you off the beaten path to enjoy areas of rugged landscape not often seen. Meander through the Guadalupe Valley, with its vineyards, olive trees and countryside. The terrain varies, and you may find yourself splashing through puddles along the way or traversing the dusty foothills, but it's a small price to pay for the beautiful vistas that surprise around every corner.
Upon arrival at a lovely estate, you'll be invited to taste several country wines.
