What you Will Visit

Glenfalloch Woodland Gardens
Established in the 1870s, Glenfalloch, which means "hidden valley," has been designated as Garden of Regional Significance" by the New Zealand Garden Trust.
Here, meandering walkways ribbon through spectacular floral displays of magnolias, rhododendrons, fuchsias, and azaleas, among many floral species. Exotic plants, ferns and native trees, including a 1,000-year-old matai tree, and beautiful panoramic vistas across the harbor make this 30-acre oasis of tranquility and natural beauty a joy to explore.

First Church
Dunedin's earliest house of worship was built in 1873. It is one of New Zealand's finest examples of Gothic architecture, complete with a 185-foot spire. Learn about the early influences of the Presbyterian Church in the development of Dunedin during your tour.

Dunedin Railway Station
Dunedin Railway Station, lovingly nicknamed "Gingerbread George," is the grandest "gingerbread house" you'll ever see. Nicknamed "Gingerbread George" after its architect George Troup, this elaborately decorated building boasts a mosaic floor of almost 750,000 porcelain tiles, among many ornate embellishments.
What You Will See Along the Way:
From Dunedin your motorcoach will head to the Otago Peninsula, a narrow and hilly stretch of land that shelters Otago Harbour from the Pacific Ocean. The picturesque coastal drive will bring you to the beautiful Glenfalloch Woodland Gardens.

Snack/Meal
A Devonshire tea will be served as you are entertained by a traditional Scottish Highland dancing demonstration and a haggis ceremony.

Photo Opportunity:
The Octagon is an eight-sided plaza that forms the core of Dunedin's lively business district. A photo stop at the Octagon provides an opportunity to photograph several notable landmarks, such as the Town Hall, the Municipal Chambers and St. Paul's Cathedral-all watched over by the statue of poet Robert Burns.
