WHAT YOU VISIT
Situated on the popular Uvala Lapad bay, Dubrovnik's largest beach features all facilities you need for a prefect day: 200 sun loungers, sun umbrellas, two showers and a children's playground. After boarding a catamaran at Gruž Harbour, you'll cruise around the southern part of the city known as the Pearl of the Adriatic, past the beautiful Lapad peninsula, to the private oasis of Sunset Beach. Disembark and relax in the shade or cool off in the clear, warm water, before returning to the ship by coach. En route you may choose to disembark at Pile Gate and return to the port independently.
Marvel at the towering defensive walls and the red-roofed architecture of Old Town as you glide through the crystal-blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. Cast your eye along the coast to the infamous Fort of St. Lawrence at the city's western entrance and gaze across to the island of Lokrum. According to legend, Richard the Lionheart was shipwrecked here in 1192.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Along the way, you'll cruise past the City Walls. Erected between the 12th and 16th centuries, the walls stretch over a mile long. The medieval Old Town has also served as a backdrop to the popular TV show, "Game of Thrones." Fans may recognize the roofs topped with orange terracotta tiles and impressive stone starred as the fictional city of King's Landing.
Special Notes:There may be a moderate walk to negotiate from the ship to the Catamaran. SCopacabana beach is a pebbly beach. Please remember to wear your swimwear and take a towel and sunscreen with you. Sun loungers and an umbrella (per 2 passengers) are included. Please refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages prior to swimming. The tour may operate in reverse.
