Causey Farm
Family-owned Causey Farm, nestled in County Meath, introduces guests to typical life in the countryside. Causey Farm raises sheep and cattle as well as a small herd of Connemara ponies. Try your hand at cutting turf, join in the wild game of hurling and discover its long history in Irish culture. Take part in a demonstration with the farm's sheep dogs and master the art of making soda bread. There is music and dancing in the barn as well as other farm activities.
What you will see along the way:
The scenic drive from Dublin to Causey Farm in County Meath is approximately one hour long and takes in views of beautiful, rich Meath grasslands.
Lunch:
Begin your day on the farm with a pot of tea and freshly baked scones served with jam and cream. After working up an appetite in the outdoors, settle in for a traditional and hearty countryside luncheon. The sample menu includes a two-course meal with homemade Guinness & Beef Casserole served on a bed of creamed potatoes with freshly made brown bread, followed by apple tart and cream, with tea/coffee.

THIS TOUR IS NOT AVAILABLE TO PASSENGERS EMBARKING OR DISEMBARKING IN DUBLIN.The drive from Dublin to Causey Farm in County Meath is approximately one hour long. Wear comfortable, casual clothes and sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots. Bring a waterproof jacket or windbreaker.
