Christ Church Cathedral
Founded in 1028, Christ Church Cathedral is renowned for its stately architecture extensively renovation in Victorian times, and its exquisite floor tiles. Located in the heart of Medieval Dublin, its fascinating 12th Century crypt, one of the oldest and largest in all of Britain, has been a popular pilgrimage site for over 1,000 years.

Glendalough
Glendalough ("the glen of two lakes") was a settlement founded by St. Kevin, a hermit monk who died about 618 A.D. The ruins, tucked into a glen, include the remains of early churches, a roofless cathedral and a well-preserved round tower dating back from the 10th century. Visitors enjoy an audio-visual presentation highlighting the history of monasticism in Ireland.

What you will see along the way:
Your day begins with a narrated drive through Dublin to Christ Church Cathedral. En route, you will take in the city's major sites, such as St. Stephen's Green, O'Connell Street, and the city's Georgian District, Merrion Square, and Trinity College, Ireland's oldest university.

Stop for lunch in a traditional establishment located in the vale of Avoca and overlooking the Aughrim River.

Avoca Hand Weavers
A scenic drive to Avoca Village brings you to the Avoca Hand Weavers, the oldest woolen mills in the country. Small, local businesses sell incredible rugs and fabrics known for their intricate designs and vibrant colors created with natural vegetable dyes.
