WHAT YOU VISIT
Jameson Distillery, Bow St
The original distillery on this site was called the Bow Street Distillery and was established in 1780. Two hundred years later, a fun and informative tour showcases the Jameson's history and the company's high-tech production process. During your guided tour, you'll learn that John Jameson, the founder of the world's best-selling Irish whiskey was actually a Scotsman and that the Latin phrase "Sine Metu" on the bottle's label means "without fear." You'll also discover how the principal ingredients of Irish whiskey (Irish barley and pure, soft Irish water) are involved in the process of malting, milling, fermenting, distilling and maturing-eventually leading to the finished product. Following the tour, join in a tutored tasting and use your newfound expertise to compare and sample Ireland's finest whiskey. Then, soak up the atmosphere and Jameson's wealth of memorabilia in JJ's Bar while imbibing in a glass of John Jameson's Irish Whiskey.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Traveling through the city en route to Jameson, you'll pass the 225-year-old Parliament House; Trinity College, founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I; and Christchurch Cathedral, founded in 1028.
