What you will visit:
Botanical Gardens
This 40-acre oasis is the largest swath of green space in Roseau and is considered one of the botanical gems of the Caribbean. Established in 1891 by order of the British Crown, these excellent botanical gardens are home to over 50 indigenous species of plants and trees and home to an aviary for Sisserou parrots, the national bird of Dominica. A stroll through the fragrant blooms and verdant vegetation makes for an idyllic retreat. In 1979, the garden was ravaged by Hurricane David, and evidence of this can be seen in a large bus that is crushed beneath a toppled bapbob tree. The wide lawns are used for national parades, celebrations and cricket matches.

Hibiscus Falls
A short, flat and easy walk will take you to a spectacular viewing point of a tropical, thundering waterfall tucked away in the rainforest greenery of Dominica.

Roseau
Dominica's sassy and colorful capital, Roseau (rose-oh) hugs the southwest coast of the Roseau River. It is the hub of this small island of volcanic terrain, sparkling waterfalls, beaches and lush national parks set against a backdrop of emerald mountains. Roseau's dense town center boasts historic buildings made of wood and stone that line the streets with a unique architectural style that borrows from the Spanish, English and French. A scenic drive reveals both the lovely natural highlights of the Roseau Valley as well as the city's landmarks.

From the panoramic hilltop of Morne Bruce, point your lens at the stellar views of the entire town of Roseau and the Botanical Gardens.

Snack:
While at Hibiscus Falls, enjoy a taste of local seasonal fruits along with a complimentary rum punch or fruit juice.

Special Notes:

The content of this tour is identical to DOM-110. Only guests using a wheelchair can book this tour, as it ensures accessible transportation. Due to the specialized nature of some lift-equipped vehicles, priority is given to guests using a wheelchair and one companion only; additional companions may be required to travel on the transportation provided for tour DOM-110. Bookings not marked with an accessibility requirement will be removed from the tour's inventory.

Transportation can accommodate 2 confined wheelchair guests with 10 seats for other guests; or 1 confined wheelchair and 1 scooter, not 2 scooters. Vehicle uses an electric ramp. At Hibiscus Falls there is a paved wheelchair path up to the view point of the waterfall. Confined guests may not swim at the falls since there are steps involved. The botanical garden has a paved road, as does Morne Bruce view point. Please visit the tour desk once onboard to advise the staff what kind of wheelchair or scooter you will be using on the tour.
