Champagne Reef Snorkel, Soufriere & Coastal Cruise

Champagne Reef is aptly named, as underwater volcanic vents emit continuous streams of tiny bubbles from the seabed. Exploration of this shallow reef area reveals an endless variety of tropical marine life. Look for graceful spotted drums, seahorses and frogfish as well as flying gurnards over the shallow sandy areas. Squid can often be seen on shore not far from the bubbles. The nutrient-rich water also nurtures star, brain and finger corals as well as yellow tube, vase and giant barrel sponges, along with orange crinoids. Snorkeling equipment, a snorkel vest and professional instruction are provided.

What you will see along the way:
Cruise down the southern coast enjoying the beautiful shoreline of the island. Green, lush mountains soar to the clouds, small fishing villages line the shore and different species of sea birds fly through the blue sky. The boat ties to a mooring on the northern tip of our Soufriere-Scott's Head Marine Reserve, one of the top snorkeling sites in the world.

Special Notes:

Snorkeling equipment including snorkel vest are provided and must be worn. An alternate snorkeling site may be visited if sea or weather conditions are unfavorable at Champagne Reef. Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel and adequate sun protection. Once participants join their tour, they will be required to complete a liability waiver.
