There are many hidden treasures to see on foot and plenty of opportunities to photograph public artworks, architecture, tropical plants and wildlife. And with a local in the lead you're sure to get an in-depth look at the history and events that helped shaped the city. During the two-hour walk, your guide will point out areas of interest such as the old Courthouse and Police Station, Browns Mart and the Old Palmerston Town Hall, all painstakingly reconstructed. Hear commentary of the original settlement and the gold rush of the 1800's, Indigenous heritage, the Overland Telegraph Line, WWII and the Bombing of Darwin, Cyclone Tracy, and modern day Darwin.
