Mystic River
One of the region's unique natural treasures, Mystic River, is a secret subterranean world, where legend tells that Mayans communicated with the gods. A section of one of the top 10 longest underwater cave systems in the world, here refreshing mineral-rich waters are surrounded by impressive stalagmite and stalactite and cave formations. Over 300 miles of connected underwater passageways link this remarkable ecosystem and true natural wonder.

Aquarium of Yal-Ku
Yal-Ku translates to "Nest of Fish" in the Mayan language. This spectacular lagoon with gentle and cool water has excellent visibility, and the exotic array of fish and the occasional turtle make this a snorkeler's paradise. This tropical lagoon was naturally created by the combining of the salt waters from the Caribbean Sea and the fresh waters of the underground rivers. The limestone inlet is surrounded by lush foliage and mangrove forests. Biodegradable sunscreen helps to preserve the delicate marine life.

What you will see along the way:
The ferry ride from port to Playa del Carmen is an opportunity to glimpse the lovely coastline.

Lunch:
A delicious beachside lunch is enhanced by the spectacular views of the deep-blue waters of the Caribbean on your own private beach.

Special Notes:

Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, hat, and reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen (no other kind of sunscreen is allowed in the water). To avoid sunburn, bring light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring water shoes, bug repellent, sunglasses, beach towel, underwater camera and extra money. Minimum age is 8 years old for snorkeling . All snorkeling equipment is provided. Guests must be relatively fit and must be able to swim. Ferry ride may be rough depending on weather conditions. We do not recommend participation if you have limited mobility, pre-existing respiratory/heart conditions or conditions causing loss of consciousness, injuries, are pregnant, or suffer from claustrophobia. Maximum weight is 250.
