What you will visit:
Copenhagen Beer Walk
An authentic taste of Copenhagen's exciting nightlife and beer-drinking traditions are yours to be enjoyed on this lively, locally led tour of the hot spots of this fascinating city seamlessly blending old and new. In the last decade, the Danish craft beer scene has come alive, and Copenhagen has experienced an impressive growth in beer bars and breweries. The Danish capital is home to well over 200 breweries, from the big names like Carlsberg to BrewPub, an innovative craft microbrewery. Cheers!
What you will see along the way:
While exploring Copenhagen's authentic beer bars and breweries, soak up the city's atmosphere on a guided walk. You'll experience the vibrant city as a local, strolling past such sights as the colorful Latin Quarter, the Cathedral of Copenhagen, the University of Copenhagen created in the 1400s, the Market Halls, magnificent Rosenborg Castle (a Dutch Renaissance structure built in 1606), the King's Garden, Nyboder (an old naval housing district), and the Citadel.
Copenhagen's breweries are known for producing beers with surprisingly fresh and unorthodox flavors. An evening beer walk is an opportunity to sip some of these innovative "suds" while soaking up the city's atmospheric surroundings. Your tour includes a tasting glass, three beer tokens, a small snack and a visit to three local pubs. Sample establishments include BrewPub, a microbrewery and bar situated in a 17th-century building; Peders, a cozy and relaxed bar; modernistic TapRoom, where you can enjoy a great hand-brewed beer; and the Black Swan, located in the old naval housing district, serving up Danish microbrews on tap.
