Highlights of Copenhagen
There is much to see in this fascinating city seamlessly blending old and new. You may choose to view City Hall Square, City Hall and the Glyptotek Art Museum. Or head to Christiansborg Palace, Old Copenhagen where the old Stock Exchange sits, and the brightly colored waterfront canal district of Nyhavn, once the home of Hans Christian Andersen. Check out stately Amalienborg Palace, the winter residence of the Danish royal family; the iconic Little Mermaid statue, a commemoration of the city's famous storyteller; or magnificent Rosenborg Castle, a Dutch Renaissance structure built in 1606. Take a cruise of Copenhagen's canals and inner harbor, and see world-famous Tivoli Gardens in the heart of the city, containing one of the world's oldest amusement parks.
