Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Your narrated tour of the city begins at the pier and winds its way past many of Copenhagen's most popular sites. You'll pass Copenhagen's 370-year-old Old Stock Exchange building, which boasts a 196-foot 'dragon-spire' tower topped with three golden crowns symbolizing the union of the Nordic countries. Other places you'll see on your journey include the 16th-century Holmens Church, the site of the royal marriage between Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik in 1967, the Town Hall, the famed Tivoli Gardens, and the Carlsberg Glypotek Museum, which holds over 10,000 works of art.

Once you arrive at Gammel Strand, a street filled with brightly colored 18th- and 19th-century homes, you'll embark on your canal cruise aboard a glass-domed boat down the Christianshavn and the Slotsholmens canals. Your leisurely 50-minute cruise will travel past Amalienborg Palace, a palatial complex comprised of four identical palaces planned around a beautiful octagonal courtyard and the royal family's winter residence; Church of Our Savior, renowned for its twisted, corkscrew black and gold spire that reaches over 295 feet from the ground to the top; and the old naval yards, which date back to 1619 and serve today as the site of Holmens Church. As you continue to explore the canals you'll travel past the Old Stock Exchange and Christiansborg Palace, the site of the country's government offices, Parliament and its sovereigns since the 12th century.
