What you will visit:
Amalienborg Palace
The seat of one of the world's oldest monarchies, majestic Amalienborg Palace is fronted by a spacious octagonal courtyard that is anchored by an equestrian statue of King Frederik V. The complex comprises four identical rococo palaces: Christian VII's Palace, Frederik VIII's Palace, Christian IX's Palace, and Christian VIII's Palace, which houses the Amalienborg Museum and is the home for the special exhibition 'A Queen's Jewellery Box - 50 Years Told in Jewellery.'

'A Queen's Jewellery Box - 50 Years Told in Jewellery'
After an introduction to the palace and the palace square, enter the mansion and discover a spectacular showcase of 200 pieces of jewelry that hold personal significance to Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and celebrate her golden jubilee. Every piece tells a story of her historic reign, including such standouts as the brooch the queen wore at her ascension to the throne, the gift Prince Henrik gave the queen for their silver wedding anniversary, and the Pearl Poire set, worn during official events. At the Amalienborg Museum, learn more about the exhibit in a series of lectures on jewelry design and the legacy of the collection. Audio guides offered in several languages enhance the experience, with the queen personally narrating the Danish version.
