WHAT YOU VISIT
Island Hill Farm
In 2013, owner Flory Anderson opened her quaint family farm to the public. Flory will greet you upon arrival and lead you on a tour where you can meet, touch and learn about the animals (goats, alpacas, rabbits, pigs, chickens) and about the farm's sustainable practices as you sample delicious goat products.

Glasgow Glen Farms
For 27 years, artisan cheesemaker Chef Jeff McCourt, also known as the "big cheese," has been making over 15 flavors of gouda from a recipe passed down from a Dutch family. An award-winning cookbook author and local food ambassador, McCourt will demonstrate the process of making cheese and you can snack on a slice of his fabulous wood-fired cheese pizza.

Carr's Oyster Bar
For seafood lovers, you will get a chance to meet a champion oyster shucker, now restaurant owner Phyillis Carr. She will teach you how to shuck your own oyster then you will snack on a lobster slider and samples of Blue Mussels.

Island Honey Wine

Meet Charles and Laura Lipnicki on their picturesque lavender farm. Stroll the grounds with them and learn about how they make their mead wine, a lesser-known wine-type drink that is made with fermented honey. Of course, you will try some samples yourself and view the items in their shop.

Deep Roots Distillery
The distillery began to take root in 1990 when owner Mike Beamish planted 200 apple trees. In 2014, the farm transitioned to a craft distillery and today, it boasts eight delicious Island-made products and has recently been awarded a Gold and Silver medal by Artisan Distillers Canada in its 2019 Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition.
