You can experience this magical undersea world, up close and personal – without even getting wet! Embark on this 45-minute, narrated cruise to explore Catalina's underwater treasures aboard a state-of-the-art, semi-submersible vessel!

Simply arrive at Catalina's Green Pleasure Pier – a 300-foot green pier nestled at the foot of Catalina Avenue. You'll be greeted by friendly crew members who will escort you safely aboard the bright-yellow Nautilus semi-sub for your one-of-a-kind eco adventure.

Modeled after the US Nautilus, America's first nuclear powered submarine, Catalina's "Nautilus" semi-sub features a roomy interior and high-tech gadgets that will make you feel as if you're on an actual deep sea exploration. Large flat screen monitors display pictures of the local species of fish and other sea life inhabitants! Paging Jacques Cousteau!

Step down below and take a seat at one of the many circular windows (well beneath the surface of the water) that offer optimal viewing. Catalina Island is famous for crystal clear water and the Nautilus offers the perfect "window" to discovery, bringing the undersea world right to you!

Have your cameras and your keen eye at the ready as you set out through azure Pacific waters on an exploratory mission that is designed to educate and entertain!

Your journey takes you to a California protected marine preserve that teems with colorful marine life. Peer through the glass windows of your semi-sub as it cruises over breathtaking kelp forests that sway in a graceful underwater ballet.

Your guide will point out the unique and colorful marine life you encounter. Marvel at the exquisite loveliness of garibaldi, Kelp Bass, Leopard sharks, bat rays, moray eels, sardines, and, yes, even the occasional great white shark, that make their home in the cool currents. You may even catch a glimpse of playful dolphins that are known to frolic in the wake of seafaring vessels.
Care to feed the fish? Not a problem. The Nautilus features a fish food feeding system with torpedo buttons so you can feed the fish from your very own seat! Cost of the fish food is extra, but the spectacular number of fish it attracts is an exhilarating sight to see! Fascinating and fun - you won't be disappointed during this family friendly adventure.
