Depart the quayside and travel to the famous Cape Winelands, set below the dramatic range of mountains called the "Hottentots Holland", home of some of the world's finest wines and Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa after Cape Town. Stop at one of the local wine estates and enjoy a wine tasting. Continue to the lush Franschhoek Valley and the Huguenot village of Franschhoek -- French Corner. Enjoy lunch at a local wine estate and a wine tasting. Enjoy an orientation tour through the beautiful town of Franschhoek. You will have some time to explore at your leisure. In the village of Franschhoek, discover a rich culture and tradition of viticulture dating back to 1688. Some 200 French Huguenots were apportioned land in the district, and if you wish, you will have time to visit (at your own expense) the Huguenot Monument situated at the foot of the Franschhoek Pass. The adjoining Huguenot Memorial Museum focuses on the genealogy of the Huguenot families. Continue to Stellenbosch via the Helshoogte Pass, a scenic pass and one of the most loved and travelled road in the Cape. This university town is the second-oldest town in South Africa, after Cape Town. Stellenbosch has become known as the Town of Oaks, and some of its glorious trees have even been proclaimed a National Monument. Stellenbosch is also famous for its typical Cape Dutch-style architecture seen along the main thoroughfare. Dorp Street is lined with charming houses, cottages and shops. After an orientation tour through this lovely town, return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

There is quite a bit of walking involved and this tour is therefore not recommended for guests with walking difficulties
Please note that many of the wine estates are closed on Saturday afternoons and all day on Sundays
