What you will visit:

Pumba Private Game Reserve,
Located in the heart of the Eastern Cape's malaria-free game viewing region, covers 6 500 hectares of privately-owned property in the Eastern Cape. Overlooking Lake Kariega, Pumba Private Game Reserve offers stunning views of the wilderness and water from every point.
After free time in your room to freshen up, rejoin at the main lodge and embark on your afternoon open vehicle game drive. Qualified English speaking game rangers will guide you through the bush, in search of the elusive 'Big 5' as well as other wildlife.

What you will see along the way:

Photo opportunities:
An African safari is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for photographers. A long lens is a must for capturing the animals and birdlife, and remember to pack a charger, spare battery and extra memory cards. It is also helpful to bring ziplock bags to protect your equipment from dust. Don't forget to take a few pictures of family and friends as well as the wildlife.

Meals:
Day one includes afternoon high tea, beverages and snacks while on the reserve, and dinner at the Pumba Water Lodge. Day two begins with a hot beverage at sunrise followed by a full breakfast at the lodge after the morning safari. Lunch and high tea followed by late afternoon game-drive before Dinner. Day three starts with breakfast prior to your travels.

Important:
It is each guest's sole responsibility to obtain (before traveling) any visas, vaccinations and/or tourist cards that are required for participating in overland adventures or overnight tours, unless noted otherwise in the description. Please be aware that you may need a visa for any and/or all countries that you will depart from and travel through as part of your overland adventure or overnight tour, and for the country in which you will rejoin the ship. Two blank passport pages are required per entry into South Africa. Due to this tour's popularity, exclusivity, and strict booking conditions, tour bookings must be confirmed 75 days prior to the call of the overland's departure with no cancellations permitted thereafter.

Notes:
The contents and order of activities in this program are subject to change by the lodge management without prior notice, due to the prevailing weather conditions and movement of dangerous wildlife on the Pumba Private Game Reserve. During early morning game drives in open vehicles, it can be a little cool. We recommend that guests take along a windbreaker. During the day, it can get extremely hot. The game drive vehicles are not covered, and guests are therefore exposed to the elements. Please note that the game drive vehicles traverse over uneven terrain and that the game drives can be bumpy. This tour is therefore not recommended for guests with back and neck problems.

This tour is not suitable for guests with walking disabilities. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Guests are required to carry their passports. A safe is located in each guest room.
