There is much to see in captivating Cape Town. Key points of interest include a visit to Boulder Beach to watch a colony of black-footed South African penguins walk along the rocky shore. The UNESCO-designated Robben Island allows you to tour the museum and prison where many political prisoners, including Nelson Mandela, were once held captive. A cable car ride to the summit of Table Mountain offers views of Devil's Peak. You can also head to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens to marvel at the variety of blooms and plant life, or explore the vineyards in Stellenbosch, a top wine region.
