Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

A pristine underwater world awaits when you join in the fun on a 3.5-hour scuba diving adventure through the crystalline waters of the Sea of Cortez off Cabo San Lucas.

Everything you need is provided by Cabo's premier scuba dive center. Meet your experienced guides at the pier and gather your wet suit and gear. A quick walk brings you to the boat, and before you know it you are off!

The Baja Peninsula is the longest peninsula in the world. It lies approximately 30 miles south of the Tropic of Cancer at the point where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. This unique locale boasts visibility that can exceed 100 feet and marine fauna and flora that are indigenous to both bodies of water, making for a unique diving experience. It's no wonder that ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau called the Sea of Cortez the "world's aquarium."

Much of the area is a protected marine sanctuary, home to dramatic corals, sand falls, sponges and bright urchins. There are many dive locales that offer exceptional conditions as well as scenic surroundings. Your captain will choose the best location for the day based on ocean conditions. Highlights include: Land's End, the Sea Lion Colony, the sand falls and Neptune's Finger. Be sure to bring your underwater camera to snap photos of Mother Nature at her best. Angelfish, guitarfish, Mexican goatfish, lobsters, parrotfish, puffers and spotted boxfish all call these waters home. Pods of dolphins and schools of manta rays have also been spotted in the tranquil waters and make diving a pleasure for all levels.

At the conclusion of this wonderful day, enjoy the warm sunshine as you motor back to the dock. Disembark and meet at a photo area to enjoy a refreshing light snack and drink.

Special Notes:

Minimum age to participate is 10 years old, and maximum age is 65 years old. Maximum weight allowed is 265 pounds. A dive must have been logged within the last 12 months and have your certification card. A medical questionnaire will be reviewed by the tour operator and acceptance to participate will depend on the information provided. To avoid possible disappointment, we recommend medical requirements for diving be reviewed in advance and any possible medical issues cleared by your personal physician in writing. A sample of medical questionnaires can be found through the major Dive Association websites of PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors) and NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors).
