WHAT YOU VISIT
Gamcheon Culture Village
Founded by Korean War refugees in the 1950s, the village side-steps its way up the steep foothills of Saha-gu Mountain giving it the nickname "Machu Picchu of Busan." Admire the colorful houses adorned with artistic touches like birds and dragonflies as you follow your Japanese-speaking guide through the labyrinthine alleyways, perhaps stopping at the Sky Garden for the best views.

Songdo Sky Walk
Curved like a dragon, the 1,190-foot-long promenade extends out from the edge of Songdo Beach and the floor is made of tempered double-reinforced glass, giving you a bird's eye view to the churning waves below.

Ja-Gal-Ch'i Fish Market
This colorful explosion of local culture was established by women peddlers during the Korean War, and has become known over the years as "Aunt's Market," in their honor. Today, the market boasts amazing displays of seafood ranging from freshly caught whole fish such as flounder and eels, shellfish and exotic seaweeds. You'll have time to wander freely and sample fresh raw fish. Nearby Gukje Market offers souvenirs, electronics, clothing, fish vegetables and more.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Focus your lens on the views from Songdo Sky Walk. From the sturdy railing, you can capture Songdo Beach, the city skyline, a small lighthouse and Geobukseom (Turtle Island).

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
As your coach makes its way around the city, it's interesting to note that Busan, which means "Kettle Mountain" for the rocky peak that looms over the harbor, was founded in the 10th century during the Silla dynasty.
