Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Suitable for all ages, this once-in-a-lifetime adventure begins when you board your motorcoach and travel to Cable Beach. Named for the undersea telegraph cable that was laid from Broome to Singapore and England in 1889, today, Cable Beach is world famous for its dazzling beauty.

Once you arrive, your guide will meet you and introduce you to your friendly and well-trained ship of the desert. The camels of Cable Beach are dromedary or one-hump camels, and are quite common in Africa and the Middle East. Australia's early settlers brought them from the Canary Islands in 1840 for traveling through the country but when cars became more popular the camels were left free to roam and today, there are over 400,000 camels running wild in the continent.

Your experienced guide will help you climb up and mount your camel (each camel carries two riders). Then you will join a caravan for an exciting, unbelievable stroll along the beach. Washed clean everyday by the massive tides that ebb and flow, the perfectly flat beach offers a safe and enjoyable experience. As you embark on your approximate 30-minute trek you will marvel at the red sandstone cliffs, which stand in stark contrast to the 13 miles of sparkling white sand that stretches along the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

Before you head back to the pier, professional photographs of your caravan ride and other souvenirs are available for purchase.
At the conclusion of your excursion, you will take another short scenic ride back to your ship.
