Founded by Irishman Richard Hennessy in 1765, it provides you with the unique opportunity of holding history in your glass! The adventure begins with a captivating blend of sightseeing experiences on land and water. Drive from Le Verdon to Royan for the ferry boat ride through the Gironde Estuary and then cross the Charente River to the distillery aboard the Hennessy river boat. You'll arrive for a tour of the renowed Cellars where you'll be introduced to Hennessy's double distillation, oak cask ageing and expert blending. A cognac tasting informs and delights and shopping opportunities ensue. A lunch of elegant French cuisine a provides the perfect interlude before returning to your ship in Le Verdon.
