Travel inland to the Médoc Wine Region for winetasting at a fairy-tale chateau renowned for legendary vintages like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and more. Continuing to the monumental city of Bordeaux, you'll get a brief introduction to this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lovingly-preserved collection of superb 18th century neo-classical architecture is worth the trip alone. Take it all in on your way to lunch at a local "brasserie-style" restaurant, followed by time on your own to browse the shops along the pedestrian only Rue Saint-Catherine.
