See the sights of Bonaire's colorful capital on a fun and eco-friendly tuk tuk. Climb aboard this open air electric vehicle, a nimble and fun way to traverse the town. Your one hour tour begins with an introduction to historic Kralendijk, Bonaire's spirited capital. Your first stop is Fort Orange, built in 1639 as a defense against attacks from the sea. This stately structure, with four impressive English cannons, never actually saw any action. Continue along the picturesque coastline to historic Divi Bonaire Hotel, originally a WWII internment camp for Dutch and German citizens. As you travel, your guide will enlighten you with all sorts of facts and figures related to this beautiful island. You'll pass the grand old hospital, with its chapel welcoming all religions, and the small local cemetery. Your tour concludes with a drive along the ocean boulevard to see both old and new homes in candy-colored hues and the quaint fishing boats. Return to port.
