Explore the beauty and wonder of Lac Bay National Park from the seat of your sit-on-top kayak with backrest, an up-close and personal way to take in the spectacular flora and fauna. A knowledgeable guide will accompany you along the way.

Lac Bay National Park
A sheltered, shallow, inland bay located on the southeastern shore of Bonaire,
Lac Bay is home to three distinct species of mangrove tree and one of the Caribbean's best preserved mangrove forests. Lac Bay National Park, RAMSAR site, boasts one of the island's only sandy beaches, and the wild sea grass that grows here is an important habitat for queen conchs, rays, seahorses and lobsters. The area is home to wetland birds, wildlife grazing at watering holes and pretty pink flamingos that can be found wading in this lush, tropical setting. Visit the Mangrove Info Centre and receive information about the area.


What you will see along the way:

A 20-minute drive from port brings you to Lac Bay National Park to the Mangrove Info Center. The southern section of the island is flat with tropical lush mangroves and salt ponds.

This active excursion is suitable only for passengers in good physical condition. Minimum age to participate is 10 years old. Maximum weight limit is 225 pounds. Wear a swimsuit and bring adequate sun protection. Supplied safety vest must be worn while kayaking. Certain medical conditions may prevent your participation. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or those with heart conditions, asthma, walking difficulties, leg injuries and/or those recovering from surgery.
