Travel by motorcoach, boat and trolley train on this all-day tour of Schwerin and Rostock. Your tour begins with a scenic drive to Schwerin, the capital of Mecklenburg. Here you'll board a boat and cruise Lake Schwerin, Germany's third-largest lake. Next, you'll take a walking tour of Schwerin, then stop for a two-course meal at a local restaurant and shop for souvenirs. Your tour continues with a tram trolley ride to the Schwerin Castle, where you'll walk through its ceremonial rooms, grand living quarters and Floral Room. Take a look at the lush gardens from inside the castle. The medieval town of Rostock is next on your itinerary, where you'll step off the coach near Market Square which is lined with well-preserved medieval buildings boasting gabled roofs and timbered facades. Here enjoy an orientation tour of Rostock passing by highlights such as the St. Mary's church, the town hall and the New market square. Your tour concludes with a return to the pier in Warnemünde, passing former socialist living areas along the way.

The drive between Warnemünde and Schwerin is approximately 90 minutes.Schwerin Castle may close without notice due to governmental meetings.

The coach for the city tour is equipped with seat belts, guests are required to use them. Guests may not stay on the coach during free time. The tour runs during all weather conditions. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of rain.
It is advisable to bring some small change of Euro coins as some shops do not accept other currencies nor Credit Cards for small purchases (furthermore, guests may have to pay for public bathroom facilities, usually between 50,- cents and 1,-Euro pp). Shopping location may vary as most shops are closed on Sundays and bank holidays. Only a few souvenir shops may be open.
