Your bicycle tour begins with a walk through quaint Warnemuende, one of the city-states that formed the medieval Hanseatic League. Nestled on Germany's northeast coast, this early fishing village is now a popular resort town flanked by the country's prettiest beaches. Here, you will pick up your bike, will get familiar with it and continue your tour by bike.
As you peddle at a comfortable pace, your guide will point out key attractions, such as the 19th century lighthouse and the Teepott building, a local landmark known for its curved roof. The center of town delights with its half-timbered houses, while brightly painted fishing boats bob in the harbor and a pretty promenade leads to sunny beaches and the Baltic Sea.

Cycle on to the coastal forest of Wilhelmshöhe, a pristine reserve landscaped with a closed broadleaved deciduous forest. The road gives way to wide open fields as you approach the small village of Nienhagen. Nienhagen, founded in 1906, is a charming little seaside resort located directly on the coast between Warnemuende and Heiligendamm, where Europe's nobility once relaxed. After admiring Nienhagen, you will stop at the picturesque Beach Restaurant for a slice of traditional German cake and a cup of coffee or tea.
On your return to Warnemuende, you'll follow an alternative route for more equally scenic views.
