Take a leisurely walking tour of the medieval town of Rostock. After a coach transfer to the city port of Rostock, a guide will lead on a walking tour you past the Fountain of Joy, Rostock University, the Kröpelin Gate, Holy Cross Convent, and the Town Hall. Next is an photo stop at the St. Mary's Church, the most famous of Rostock's seven medieval churches. Founded in the 13th century, St. Mary's Church is famed for its many attractions. The stunning stained-glass window, which features the Day of Judgment, measures 85 feet tall and is one of the largest single stained glass windows in Europe. Then, you'll have free time to shop for souvenirs in Market Square before going by coach to a local Micro-Brewery. After learning the process of brewing beer, you'll be treated to a freshly brewed glass of beer and a delicious German pretzel. Then, after a short coach transfer to Rostock Harbour, you'll return by boat along the Warnow river to Warnemünde, the Baltic beach resort.

Special Notes:

This tour involves extensive walking and is not recommended for passengers with limited mobility. Passengers must be 18 years or older to participate in the beer tasting. Younger guests will be served a non-alcoholic alternative instead. This tour is not available to passengers beginning or ending their cruise in Warnemunde. Tour sequences may vary to avoid congestions at venues. The coach for the city tour is equipped with seat belts, guests are required to use them. Guests may not stay on the coach during free time. The tour runs during all weather conditions. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of rain. It is advisable to bring some small change of Euro coins as some shops do not accept other currencies nor Credit Cards for small purchases (furthermore, guests may have to pay for public bathroom facilities, usually between 50,- cents and 1,-Euro pp). Many shops are closed on Sundays and bank holidays. Only a few souvenir shops may be open.
