Board your transportation for a drive that takes you through Belize City to Bacab Eco Adventure Park. This nature lover's paradise covers 400 acres and is a natural habitat for over 200 species of tropical flora, including orchids, ferns, palms and towering hardwood trees.

Here, you'll begin your half-day adventure with a safety briefing before entering your two person kayak for an hour-long expedition down a narrow creek lined with verdant indigenous foliage, such as arrowhead plants and water lilies, and shaded by the branches of swamp kaway. As you paddle further, the creek widens, and you'll find yourself floating in a tranquil lagoon where friendly turtles might even surface, poking their heads out to get a good look and to say hello!

Have your (waterproof!) camera at the ready, with luck you might catch the juvenile crocodiles sunning themselves on the banks, and keep a sharp eye out for the amazing sight of long-tailed lizards running upright across the surface of the water! Down a second creek with a higher forest tree line, colorful birds such as parrots and boat billed herons can be seen at times, sharing the lush canopy with curious, raccoon-like coatis and howler monkeys.

Paddle back to the eco-park for some well deserved relaxation. This family friendly nature resort has something for everyone. You can lounge in a hammock under the shade of a buttonwood tree or take a dip in the exotic free-form swimming pool with a water slide. For those looking to educate themselves about the surroundings, take the Ixchel's Walk, a self guided botanical trail where you can learn about the many medicinal uses of the native plants.
Before your departure, take a moment to visit the gift shop for a wide variety of handicrafts and souvenirs before relaxing on the air-conditioned transportation on the ride back to port.

FREE WiFi. Minimum age is 8 years; maximum is 75 years. Maximum weight is 235 pounds. Pregnant women and persons with back/neck/hip injuries are not permitted on this excursion. Sunscreen, insect repellant, swim wear and towel are recommended. Lockers are available for a USD$10.00 deposit fee, after the return of the key USD$5.00 will be reimbursed. Changing rooms and showers are provided.
