WHAT YOU VISIT
Haruru Falls
Located about three miles from the town of Paihia in a hidden valley on the beautiful and peaceful Waitangi River, Haruru was once the site of of New Zealand's first river port exporting majestic kauri trees. A boat will set out from the pier and cruise along the coastline up the meandering river. Once you arrive in the still calm waters of a quiet cove, your expert guides will provide instruction before you take to the water on your paddle board. As you glide silently through the mangroves, keep an eye out for the local fauna and listen for the thunder of water on rocks as the water cascades over the horseshoe-shaped falls.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Whether this is your first time paddle boarding or you're an old pro, the scenery you'll paddle through is so breathtaking, you may find it indescribable so have your camera handy so you can show the folks back home.

SNACKS
A stop will be made at a riverside park to enjoy a light picnic snack before the return boat ride back to the pier.
