WHAT YOU VISIT
- St. John's Church
The 180-year-old church is a picture-perfect example of Gothic-inspired architecture complete with imposing façade. Step inside the sun-dappled interior and marvel at the elaborately carved pulpit and beautifully designed curved staircases. Walk to the cemetery for a look at the gravesites of local luminaries including that of Ferdinando Paleologus, a descendent of Emperor Constantine the Great.
- Highland Adventure Center
Located in the heart of Barbados, this center is surrounded by lush, tropical landscape and offers spectacular vistas of the island. Enjoy a refreshing rum drink while looking out over the magnificent views.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Standing over 800 feet above sea level near a cliff, St. John's Parish Church offers beautiful views of Bathsheba Beach and the picturesque East Coast.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
On your ride through the colonial streets of Bridgetown, be on the lookout for the stately 17th century House of Parliament, the third oldest legislature in the Americas. Another historic landmark you'll see is the 200-year-old Gun Hill Signal Station, designed to defend the island against any invasion.
