Head out to sea to view Atlantic puffins -- an iconic seabird also known as the sea parrot because it sports a rather spectacular beak. You will cruise in comfort on a state-of-the-art catamaran equipped with a sound system and full galley.
You'll cruise out of Frenchman Bay to the Schoodic Peninsula, skirting the Downeast Maine coastline. Watch for three island lighthouses along the way -- Egg Rock, Petit Manan, and Winter Harbor Lighthouse. Petit Manan -- the second-tallest lighthouse in Maine -- languishes on an island of the same name. Nesting puffins, razorbills and terns love its windblown, stark and rocky shoreline.
Keep an eye out for other wildlife sightings, which may include eagles, seals and harbor porpoise.
