What you will visit:

Miss Samantha Lobster Boat
All aboard Bar Harbor's largest lobster passenger boat. Passengers watch as lobster traps are hauled from the ocean floor and a demonstration is given as to how the traps operate. Listen to tales of local history and folklore as you witness typical chores such as hauling in the lobster traps and baiting them. Conservation and sustainability of the fishery is discussed as well as the regulations protecting Maine's iconic resource. The Miss Samantha is fully certified by the Coast Guard.

What you will see along the way:
As you cruise, take in picture-perfect views of Frenchman Bay, one of Maine's most dramatic areas, boasting a picturesque coastline studded with beautiful cottages and Cadillac Mountain. Gaze out over the sparkling blue waters and observe sea birds, bald eagles and other marine wildlife in their natural environment. The vessel will also maneuver around a small island inhabited by harbor seals.

Lunch:
Lobster is one of Maine's most authentic and delicious edible treats. At Stewman's Restaurant, you'll tie on a bib and enjoy a Downeast lobster bake. Your traditional meal includes the delectable crustacean with all the fixings plus corn on the cob and a blueberry dessert.
