What you will visit:
Acadia National Park/Park Loop Road
First established in 1916, Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island is the oldest national park east of the Mississippi. A 47,000-acre Atlantic coastline recreation area, it is best showcased by Park Loop Road, a 27-mile stretch designated as one of America's most scenic byways.
What you will see along the way:
Take in the stunning coastline of Acadia, the first National Park east of the Mississippi. Take in sweeping views of rugged shoreline, evergreen forests of spruce and pine, and mountain summits. Travel down the Park's 27-mile Park Loop Road past a host of famous sights.

Photo Opportunities:

Jordan Pond House
Nestled on a hill overlooking an expansive lawn and Jordan Pond. Snap photos of the beautiful views of the Penobscot Mountains and Bubbles Hill.

Cadillac Mountain
Named for Sieur de la Mothe Cadillac, who migrated from France and settled in Maine during the 17th century, the 1,532-foot-tall mountain is not only the tallest on Mount Desert Island but also has the distinction of being the highest point on the North American east coast.

Thunder Hole
Under the right tidal conditions, ocean swells converge with a thunderous roar against the granite coastline at dramatic Thunder Hole. If the tides are favorable, you will see the ocean spray shooting high into the air.

Sieur de Monts Springs Nature Center
Located on Mount Desert Island, photograph the stunning grounds and visit the Nature Center to learn about the islands eco-system.

Lunch:

Your lobster lunch includes a buffet starring lobster (steak is available for non-lobster eaters), and all the fixings plus a blueberry dessert.

Special Notes:

Tour may operate in alternative order. Please note that all photo stops in the Park including Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, Jordon Pond and Sieur de Mont Springs are dependent on traffic and weather conditions. The National Park Service has strict bus parking guidelines and stops may not be possible if congestion occurs. There can be strong winds atop Cadillac Mountain. Dressing warmly is recommended: sweater and Windbreaker. At the lobster bake, steak can be substituted.
