The Acropolis
The hilltop citadel, rising 490 feet over Athens, is crowned by the dramatic ruins of the Parthenon, one of the classic images of Western culture. Dating back to the 5th century B.C., the Acropolis is a complex of ruins sprawled across seven acres. Using the virtual reality tablet and headset, these ancient ruins are resurrected. Just point the tablet's camera at various locations and view them in their original form-as they looked thousands of years ago! Imagine seeing the Parthenon rise from the ruins standing 45 feet tall and fully intact with the massive ivory-and-gold statue of Athena tucked inside. Point your 3-D tablet to the tomb of Erechtheus and "see" the six maidens (the Porch of the Caryatids) in their glory guarding the tomb of Athens' legendary king.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Upon entering Athens, enjoy a panoramic tour of the city. En route to the Acropolis, you'll pass the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's Arch, which divided the Greek city from Hadrian's new Roman city. You'll also travel past the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, catch a glimpse of the Evzoni Guards in their national uniforms, and the Panathenaic Stadium built in 1896 for the first modern Olympic Games (photo stop traffic permitting).
