WHAT YOU VISIT
Perfect for the family, this comfortable mini-van seats five. Before you leave be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring plenty of Jordanian dinars to cover your expenses. Once settled into your comfortable seat, with your camera at hand, you'll be ready to set off on a thrilling discovery of Aqaba.

Did you know that the Red Sea is home to some of the world's most beautiful coral reefs and exotic fish? If you'd like to dive right into the welcoming waters then you can tell your driver to head to the Berenice Beach Club.
Interested in history? Then, be sure to visit the Aqaba Museum Complex, home to the Aqaba Museum, known for its Bronze Age artifacts and Aqaba Fort, built by the Crusaders in the 13th century and used as an inn for pilgrims on their way to Mecca.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Have your underwater camera ready as you swim through the inviting waters, which average 72 °F in the winter and 76 °F in the summer. Over 100 species of hard coral, 120 species of soft coral and 1,000 species of fish call the Red Sea their home. Be on the lookout for orange and white striped clownfish, iridescent parrotfish, and delicate angelfish swimming happily along with green turtles.

SHOPPING
Aqaba is a duty free shopping zone and among the colorful souks and markets that showcase spices and handmade jewelry, you'll find a shopping mall with stores that sell everything from bath salts to toys.

LUNCH
Lunch and dinner during the day are on your own. Many of the restaurants in Aqaba feature Middle Eastern cuisine. A few favorites include "mansaf," rice served with chunks of stewed lamb and jameed, a yogurt sauce. A popular appetizer is "baba ghanouj," a delicous dip made out of mashed eggplant and tahini. For a main course, try "sambousek," a meat and pine nut pie or "fasoolyeh," which is a bean stew. Another favorite is "musakhan," which is baked chicken served on bread with onions, olive oil and pine nuts. For dessert, try "halva," a soft sesame paste, which is similar to nougat.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Ancient ruins, modern stores, a forbidding landscape and turquoise waters – your adventure encompasses everything you're looking for while on vacation in Aqaba.

Whether you're walking in the footsteps of medieval travelers or taking a dive at a beach resort, Aqaba offers adventures you won't find anywhere else.
