Discover the magical Tawali Resort, a stunning retreat perched on a volcanic mountain overlooking Milne Bay. Surrounded by lush rainforest and dramatic coastline, this hidden gem is one of Papua New Guinea's best-kept secrets.
Begin with a Skull Cave Tour. After a short dinghy ride and a scenic 15-minute walk along the shoreline, arrive at a series of limestone caves. Inside, you'll encounter ancestral skulls - part of Milne Bay's mysterious cultural past. On your return, meet local villagers and browse handmade crafts.
Back at Tawali, enjoy a light lunch before exploring the vibrant marine life of the Coral Triangle. Known for its incredible biodiversity, the House Reef is best explored in two snorkels - one from each of the resort's wharves. Expect encounters with Epaulet Sharks, Ghost Pipe Fish, Sea Horses, and more.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time to swim in the resort's pool, snorkel, or relax on the deck with a drink (own expense).
