Driftwood Resort & WagaWaga Snorkel

Just 15 mins from Alotau but seems like a million miles away is the Driftwood Resort.
Make the most of the day at the resort and jetty where you can take a snorkel trip, paddle the Kayaks and enjoy a famous Driftwood fresh seafood platter for lunch. Sit in the ocean front bungalow style restaurant and soak up the sunshine or be as active as you like. There is a small shoreline and jetty to wander along and plenty of optional activities. Kids can play volleyball, try their hand at traditional fishing, weaving or paddling an authentic style canoe. Take a walk through the gardens and learn about the tropical plants and flowers.
During the day take a 30 min boat trip to WagaWaga on the Southern Shore of Milne Bay where you'll have time to snorkel around the wreck of the Muscoota an iron hulled clipper ship launched by Queen Victoria. The ship wreck is now covered with marine life including fish, clams, soft corals and sponges. You'll hear some history of the area and the story of the Muscoota as she lies in the natural harbour. Mask and snorkel are provided for your snorkel experience.
