You will be enthralled by our local historian who over a PA system that reaches all areas of our vessel, will take you back in time and shed light on the amazing hidden history of the area.
Alotau's Back-drop is the Sterling Range. The Magnificent jungle clad mountains rise to over 1500ft within a mile from the coastline. These are the rugged conditions that many young Australians endured here during the Battle of Milne Bay, 75 years ago.
Enjoy the spectacular landscapes of Milne bay province from the ocean whilst our history expert talks about the significance during WWII whilst enjoying complimentary snacks and drinks including local fresh fruit platters, home cooked banana muffins, fruit juice, and of course tea, coffee and water.
