Paua Bay Farm
Discover the true, rural lifestyle of Paua Bay Farm, owned and operated by hosts Sue and Murray Johns. Learn the history of this extensive property that has been in the family for six generations. Explore the expansive grounds, and learn how modern-day farming has evolved since 1837 and what is involved in the care and feeding of a flock of 2,500 sheep. Marvel at a sheep-shearing demonstration, and learn from a farmhand how important sheepdogs are to the daily operations on the farm. Enjoy demonstrations by the expertly trained dogs, and, when invited, you too can help separate the sheep. A leisurely stroll through the garden with its mature trees and prolific birdlife is an opportunity to commune with nature.
