Rugged 4X4 Touring Adventure
An exhilarating off-road adventure through the high country of the Southern Alps travels scenic back-road terrain over Rubicon and Mt. Torlesse Stations. Experience the thrill and excitement of off-roading, and at Mt. Torlesse Station, view a 10,000-acre working sheep and cattle farm. While on tour, there will be numerous stops for photos and a chance to appreciate the spectacular views of river gorges, rugged high country and the jagged peaks of the Southern Alps as well as views across the Canterbury Plains.

Hamilton Jet Boat
Launching from the Waimakariri Regional Park, this thrilling jet boat cruise takes you deep into the heart of the Waimakariri River Gorge. The Hamilton jet boat spins and speeds through this amazing river. The purpose-built Hamilton jets make navigating the shallow waters, sometimes only centimeters deep, a breeze while you sit back and enjoy Canterbury's spectacular scenery and stop to photograph the gorge. Hold on tight as your captain adds extra excitement when he sends the vessel spinning!

What you will see along the way:
Explore one of New Zealand's least-visited areas: the rugged hill country of the Southern Alps. From Akaroa, journey over the coastal hills and across fertile Canterbury Plains, before reaching Springfield and then heading down to Rubicon Station on the banks of the spectacular Waimakariri River Gorge. A relaxing return journey along the Great Alpine Highway and back across the Canterbury Plains completes the scenic splendor of the day.

At Rubicon Station, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.
