WHAT YOU VISIT
Whitehaven Beach by Catamaran
This sparkling gem, named the South Pacific's Best Beach by TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice Awards, lies just off of Whitsunday Island, the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays. After you step aboard a luxurious catamaran your captain will cruise this picture-perfect seascape and past a number of Whitsunday islands to the world famous Whitehaven Beach. Descend a set of 12 steps into the shallow waters to access the beach. Once on dry land, you'll have two hours of free time.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
The entire island is yours to explore (be aware that it's 106 square miles in diameter!) and you may wish to hike up to the lookout at Tongue Point that boasts breathtaking views of Hill Inlet all the way across the Coral Sea to Pentecost Island.
LUNCH
When hunger calls, you'll leave your idyllic beach surroundings and return to the ship for a fresh buffet lunch of cold meats and salads with chefs selection of dessert and beverages.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Green turtles, beds of seagrass, and fish species such as Maori wrasse, coral trout, clownfish and parrotfish are among the sea creatures living in the welcoming waters of Whitsunday Island.
Special Notes:

Guests must be mobile enough to be able to step down several steps at the front of the vessel to disembark at the beach.
Shade is limited, please dress accordingly. Bring a hat and wear reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel and a hat. Cell phone cover is not available on the island. All swimming activities are undertaken at guests own risk. No lifeguards are on duty. Always swim with a buddy - never swim alone.
