Discover the treasured isle of Whitehaven Beach located on Whitsunday Island in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Renowned as the world's top eco-friendly beach, it's protected by the Whitsunday Islands National Park and without modern amenities like shops and restaurants. The fun begins when you join your skipper and eco-host on a semi-rigid inflatable boat and zoom through tropical waters to Whitehaven Island, the largest of the Whitsundays located just 15 miles off the coast of Airlie Beach. Depending on the weather, your trip can range from exciting and fast to hair-raising! Once on the beach, you can take a dive in its warm, welcoming waters, stroll the soft snow white beach or take a guided walk to Tongue Point for postcard views across Hill Inlet to Pentecost Island. And with the great outdoors as your dining room, a buffet lunch will be served onboard your vessel.
Special Notes:
Minimum age is 4 years, must be agile and mobile. There are no amenities or shops on the island. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, a hat, and local currency to purchase water, soft drinks, and juice with lunch. You will encounter sandy surfaces and a large step getting onto and off the vessel. This tour is likely to be a bumpy, actioned-packed ride in certain weather conditions and therefore is not suitable for any pre-existing condition that may be exacerbated by this type of activity including hip, back, or neck injuries and pregnancy or mobility issues..Passengers must be able to board the vessel unassisted. No pre-existing serious medical conditions including hip, neck and back injuries.
Box jellyfish and stinger season generally starts with the onset of the wet across the top of northern Australia, usually between October and April.

Whitehaven does not offer a snorkelling experience this is a beach visit only.
It is a finable offence to remove sand from Whitehaven Beach.
