It’s important to remember to bring all your documents so that there are no issues at embarkation and you’re able to sail.
If vaccinated bring your proof of COVID-19 vaccination (with the dates of doses received) to the terminal prior to boarding. Guests must have received their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before the beginning of the cruise and provide acceptable proof at terminal check-in. Boosters are highly recommended for those eligible. At terminal check-in guests must provide proof of a negative viral COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken before or at embarkation.
Some countries and regions also have a time limit for when the last dose was given or a booster requirement. The U.S. CDC recommends a booster five months after your mRNA COVID-19 vaccine series; other countries and regions allow for up to nine months. Following the CDC guidance meets the requirements of most of the ports we visit. Vaccination entry requirements can change without notice, so we recommend you keep your vaccination status up to date and become familiar with the requirements for the destinations you plan to visit.
Guests can submit digital or paper records, or QR codes, showing the vaccine type, the date of each vaccine dose administered, the individual’s name and date of birth or other identifier.
You should also complete your health questionnaire using the MedallionClass app within 24 hours before you embark the ship. We’ll confirm your answers when you arrive at the port. The results of any COVID-19 tests and information provided on the health declaration will be subject to the Princess Cruises Privacy Notice and shared only as needed with Princess personnel, third parties or local health authorities as part of screening and embarkation-related health protocols.
Guests are also required to bring all necessary travel documents, such as passports (with a minimum of six-months validity after your date of return), visas, proof of citizenship, re-entry permits or minor's permissions. Requirements may vary based on nationality, as specified in, which are updated frequently. Other recommended sources for protocols are official websites and apps developed by government agencies and tourism ministries.
Guests must meet the standard pre-cruise COVID-19 testing requirements prior to cruise embarkation. We’re working closely with health authorities to manage updates as policies evolve and will advise booked guests of any changes as they occur.
Voyages that Include Canada:
In addition to your health questionnaire, within 72 hours of embarkation the Canadian government requires all guests (including Canadian residents) to sign into ArriveCAN^ from a computer or download the mobile app to enter your proof of vaccination and travel information. You will receive an ArriveCAN receipt. Please bring a digital copy of the email or print the receipt to bring with you when you travel. If your cruise departs from Canada, you will need an additional ArriveCAN receipt separate from your land/air arrival receipt.
