The sights and sounds of Maui

Maui is one of the most popular islands in Hawaii because of its lavish lifestyle and its miles of pristine beaches. Princess Cruises offers voyages calling in Maui, giving you the opportunity to explore the natural wonders of the island, as well as the unique culture that can be found throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Whether you're traveling with your entire family or just your significant other, there are always Maui sights, activities and more to do.

Maui Ocean Center

The Maui Ocean Center is just one facility worth visiting while you're in the area. In operation since 1998, this Maui sight continues to attract travelers from around the globe. The goal of the Maui Ocean Center is to give people an in-depth look at life under the sea, including a closer view of the marine animals that call this region home. Some of Hawaii's rarest native species are housed at the Maui Ocean Center. Exhibits worth visiting while at the facility include the Turtle Lagoon, the Marine Mammal Discovery Center and the Sea Jelly Gallery, full of beautiful glowing jellyfish.

Haleakala National Park

Haleakala National Park is another one of Maui's gems you'll want to explore while you're on your Hawaiian cruise. Whether you have a love of nature or you simply want to see some of Hawaii's unique animals and plants, this major attraction is one not to miss. The park is very secluded, making this Maui sight the perfect nature sanctuary. It's home to the Halekala Crater, which is the remainder of a once-active volcano. While in the area, you can also stretch your legs on several hiking trails.
