Tour Overview

Board your motorcoach at the pier and travel through bustling Nha Trang, Viet Nam's most famous seaside resort town on this half-day excursion. The French recognized that this beautiful bay, with its islands and white sand beaches, made for a perfect bathing spot, and began the transformation into a resort town. American soldiers agreed, and Nha Trang became a favorite vacation stop during the war.

Leaving the stunning coastline behind, the road veers right at the old Banyan tree, crosses picturesque Thanh Bridge, and continues into the verdant countryside. Your scenic route takes you through a gently rolling landscape of small villages, terraced rice paddies, lush bamboo groves and waving palm trees. Keep your camera handy because the occasional sight of a grazing water buffalo adds to the region's scenic charm.

Arriving at a typical rural village, you'll be treated to a unique cultural experience. Photograph the village people at work in the rice paddies and meet the orphan children at the Loc Tho pagoda to observe their daily activities. Then continue to a local cafeteria where you can relax in the shade and enjoy fresh coconut juice while savoring a variety of tropical fruits.

Next a stroll through the village brings you to the local temple where village artisans wait to demonstrate the weaving of sleeping mats, which are available for purchase. A stop at an old-style farmhouse is a charming prelude to the bustling farmer's market with its stalls laden with colorful fruits and vegetables.

During your return drive to the pier, reflect on the tranquil lifestyle of the Vietnamese countryside which has endured for centuries despite the staggering conflicts which have rocked this tiny country.
